A mayhem in Kenya
as the journey draws near, Rwanda's neighbor, Kenya is experiencing mayhem. labeled as tribal conflict between the kikuyu, whose candidate, president, Tibaki is accused for rigging his victory election result. tribal groups such as the lou and the ( ) supporting the opposition contender have targeted the kikuyus. recently a church outside nairobi was torced to the ground leaving at least 50 people, mostly women and children who've sought sanctuary and protection perished in the fire. it brought memories to what happened in rwanda in 1994 when churches were no longer a safe place to hide. some of us students have planned to spend a week in nairobi after our rwanda seminar. but now, the most stable country of africa is up in flames.
